Youth Committee

The first CPCA Youth Committee was established in the summer of 2022 when CPCA received its first summer Jobs grant. In  2022 CPCA provided eight summer jobs opportunities for students and in 2023 CPCA provided 10 summer jobs 

Advocacy: The CPCA Youth committee (CYC) advocates for Justice for Palestine and for  the rights and raising awareness on issues affecting the Palestinian youth in Edmonton such as Anti Palestinian Racism and other social challenges.

Community Engagement: The CYC Engage young people in community service and social initiatives to foster a sense of responsibility and empowerment among the youth. Such fundraising events, winter drives and  

Civic Participation: Encouraging political and civic engagement among youth, promoting their participation in decision-making processes that affect their lives and communities such as weekly Rallies and National Actions 

Cultural Preservation: Promoting Palestinian culture and heritage through various activities such as Tatreez workshops at universities and Dabke Dance,  ensuring that the next generation maintains a connection to their identity and history.
